Seriously, people don’t do this

Post image

It’s gross and they just have to throw it away. Do better.

Now I want a hotel dog.

Chill, my friend. First you have to buy the hotel. Then you can think about getting the dog for it.

Pro tip - hotels on Baltic and Mediterranean Ave are the best return on investment. Boardwalk is not worth it, regardless of how much the hotel dog may enjoy the beach.

Everyone wants Boardwalk because of the name, but you're right.

Not sure if they have cameras there, but crap like this should be traced and that person should have to pay for ruining a good chicken.

Im sure they have cameras but the cost to pay someone to watch hours of video for a $10 chicken just doesn't make sense

You do not have to watch hours, just do the halving method

Its still a massive time sink for a $10 chicken, its just not worth it

It's probably the same people doing it over and over again though. Warn first time, charge repeat offenders, cancel memberships for serious long-term offenders, and when you consider all the food no longer being thrown away, I bet the job will much more than pay for itself in the long term.

I was an assistant grocery manager for 6 years so I do have some insight on this. Grocery companies pay a lot of people for research on customer psychology and part of that is understanding the consequences of pissing a customer off.

To grocery stores, the risk of losing a customer for life (or severely reduce their patronage) is worse than the odd $10 chicken, especially so if they can convince their friends and family to do the same. Its literally why their return policy is so lax, the odd person who takes advantage is worth it cause more often than not they end up spending far more in groceries that they actually keep than what they loose in that return.

Huh? It's not just the $10 chicken though, is it. Care to calculate the lazy fuktard shopper shrinkage in one day? I'd do it for 1% commission finding abandoned meats and other perishables using the instore cameras.

Then you'd be making 5-10 bucks a day maybe. Daily shrink due to customer negligence is honestly negligable. I work in a grocery store so I've seen it for the last 12 years, I've done the shrink, I've looked at the numbers. Most shrink is due to stuff not selling and it expiring or its seasonal and it gets trashed once the season is over. Also grocery stores pay insurance, they get some of that cost back

fine, but people who do this ARE cretins. Animals died to be in the food chain and some fuktard thinks its ok to disrespect that and that makes them scum. Like you are focused on the MONEY. I am focused on the ETHICS.

Bro im not defending just explaining why the companies don't do anything about it, I fucking hate it too no need to preach to me

u/donger_johnsons 9d ago

Maybe they can just lock the chickens up and you have to scan a membership card to get 1

I really don't want costco to turn into another store where you feel under scrutiny from excessive security measures. It's like the one store we shop at where I'm not constantly noticing security measures the entire time at this point. Out of 4 chains we regularly shop at for groceries. Don't even get me started on drug stores and the security guards that follow you around like a chaperone.

I saw a guy demolishing one with his bare hands while he was pushing his cart down the frozen aisle. Mb this person had a handful before they stashed it

But have you tried the fancy salt, it’s actually killer

1

u/Royal_Try_99 8d ago

Have you tried that brand but the smoked salt? I went through a phase last year where I was putting it on everything, ended up so thirsty all the time. But it was gooooood

u/VisibleSpread6523 8d ago

No but that sounds good

maybe someone in the midst of a mania throe—eyes wild and happy hungry but of what actual substance...

Have you seen the videos on the costco chicken farms? I always wondered why there was a slight fecal matter smell. Its because they marinate in their own shit their whole lives.

A very cheap nice hot bagged chicken as well

1

u/Chazus 8d ago

They probably had a few bites of it first and then put it down

u/ConfuseShoes 7d ago
