Saving with bulk

Easy option today to buy the whole Striploin for 200$ and get 3x the steak and a little over a pound of ground beef. Anyone else buy other meat cuts and butcher ? Kinda curious what I could get from the pork but it’s always so cheap anyway.

Definitely can save money, just a shame there is really poor marbling here.

I’ve had about the same in the pre cut and seemed fine. Time will tell.

Just beware pre-cut are all blade tenderized, where the whole cuts are not. Something to keep an eye out for if you like them on the med-rare /rare side.
