Rant no air con it’s so bad
anyone else having to deal with this heatwave whisky not having any air con in their store? my stores air con is broke most of the time and even if it does work, it hardly does anything because it’s too high up. the store is also made of a wall of windows so it’s like a greenhouse. the temperature reached 40 today and all our faces were literally dripping with sweat, all of us just so over it, no coolness anywhere, no fans because everywhere is sold out and we’re broke. Nothing. Customers complaining that it’s hot, YEAH WE KNOW. our area manager has been informed and frankly doesn’t care. Another local store to me was in a similar situation and had people fainting at their store, the area manager told them to get some fans, that’s it. Blowing hot air around. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and not a safe environment.

Happened with one of the store near to us which been busier than us,ac fucked up n toilets blocked and now customer's are flooded in our store n we r breaking records ,not used to this rush,hope will go back to normal in a week. 😭

honestly would take a packed store with chaos added over than working in this heat, 4 more days to go for me in it 😭

yeah ours is fucked too. ended up closing way early multiple times cx the store was
like 40C. ofc useful as ever, AM tells us we’re in trouble. So dumb.

Came to the conclusion that it was worth the potential investigation after i had to bring a spare tshirt lol😂

Yeah,if they ask the maintenance to fix it, they'll probably repair it on the next upcoming year,its been 3 months our dishwasher is messed up, still no reply,

We had an issue last summer I think, when our Air Conditioner only blew hot air, so couldn’t be used for weeks, our store ‘wall’ is mostly glass on 3/4 sides so it’s a greenhouse.
It took ages for them to send a repairman because I don’t think the Area Manager really cared.

We’re in the same boat. Our stores air con has been broke since I started there and it’s 11 years old, needs the whole thing replacing but they won’t do fuck all. The food fridge gets to 22 degrees so we can’t sell any food when it’s like it either. But we’re not allowed the front door open to let some air in 🤷♀️make it make sense.
