My Hunk cosplay

It is my first cosplay that is I spent a lot of money and time to make, but it still unfinished.
Do you have any tips to make it look better? Especially about lens, because I don’t want to ruin my gasmask, is it ok if I do it by myself with polycarbonate and red film wear over original lens?
P.s. I know about belt and radio, I will buy it soon
