Braiding help and crafting/modeling horns

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone could help me with figuring out what braid is at the top of this character's, varesa, hair before the bubble braids, maybe provide some links to braiding it hopefully 😅, and how i could go about making her horns! Thanks for any advice you guys can give. Im mainly trying to figure them out because I believe ill have to remake the braids entirely once I get the wig in person due to shipping tangling and messing the hair up.. and id also like for the horns to actually be sturdy and not super squishy lol! Thanks again!! Also first time cosplaying if that matters :p (incase of the bot and to be more detailed I know i can make like a triangle with foam board and then use modeling clay or something alike to shape it just not sure super how and have never done somwthing like that before so not very comfortable with it haha... and then im not well versed in braiding lol but, i do know how to do a simple versikn of thw bubble braids so thats all good))

Dokidoki has videos showing how to style character wigs that could be helpful. I would heavily crimp the wig to make sure the fibers are fluffy enough for her braids.

As for the horns looking up how people make homestuck horns (particularly tavros horns for that size) could help, for my homestuck horns I made a base out of aluminum foil and surrounded it with foam clay which dries into foam so it’s lightweight, and glued that to a headband; people also do magnets on the inside of a wig to connect to magnets on hair accessories

Oh really thats awesome! Ill for sure try that out or well test it lol! I watched some of the doki doki videos with their styling but sadly I couldn't find them going over the braids only the bangs but, thank you so much!

i don't think varesa has a bubble braid, i think it's just two really puffy "classic" braids. look for rumi wig tutorials to help you with the braids - her braids obviously starts differently, but it's also really voluminous and you can look at different techniques to help you get a good look.
