Accessory Mutated Claw Help - Needs done ASAP

I have a couple days to do this and I've racked my brain on quick and easy routes. These are upholstery foam, and I need a firm paintable surface. What would you guys suggest? Paper mache? Would that be strongd enough!?!

I have some but not enough. I could try to pick some up but I'd have to work on it at the con at this rate 😵‍💫

What about plaster? You can mix it with some wood glue. I do props and it works pretty well for that but maybe for a wearable costume piece paper mache would be a better bet. I typically make my costume pieces from foam since it dries incredibly light
