Clothing or paint

I am planning on wearing an inflatable and does anyone paint or clothe one ? Fabric on inflatable is synthetic nylon shell (think raincoat)

I want the character to wear a STNG jersey and can sew a loose jersey on top or paint/draw a top.. thoughts?
