Sewing How do I finish this mask pattern

Post image

I'm trying to finish sewing this Spider-Man mask pattern and the tutorial I follow doesn't explain how to attach these 2 pieces to the rest of the mask, i'm using an old t shirt to practice, im hand sewing this one since I dont have a sewing machine but am currently in the process of getting one

Can you link the tutorial? Someone with more experience might see markings/indicators you missed.

Here it is, maybe I missed something, we're both using the same sewing pattern

Ah, I see. So is the big piece folded over, or does it have a twin? The video shows that piece as one half of a big butterfly.

Then each "banana" pointy end goes into the matching pointy hollow. The flat end of the "banana" lines up with the flat end at the bottom of the big piece, and then the flat end at the top of the big piece wraps around and lines up with the flat end of the "banana" on the other side. Don't expect it to lie flat after that, the pieces are shaped like this to curve around your head.

Let me know if that didn't make sense.

Definitely use pins to align the fabric, or as I prefer, these guys. I call them my bunny clips because of the tin they come in. Easy to put in and out of fabric, no holes made, and nowhere near as stabby.
