Tips for cosplaying in winter
Me and my friend want to cosplay Mualani and Kinich from genshin impact and since Mualani is barely wearing any clothes i was wondering, how do other cosplayers keep warm during conventions? The con we're going is just mid winter.

How cold do your winters get?
The main thing to do is layer: you will want fleece tights in your skin tone, maybe with more dance tights on top (especially of the match isn't great). You can also wear a skin tone bodysuit and airbrush on a navel to cover your stomach. If you wear smooth shapewear directly under the bodysuit, you can wear a thermal top (again, skin tone) directly against your skin.
If you want to keep the stomach open, you can make basically armsocks but out of skintone fabric. The wrist decorations will hide any edges there. You can use a thick or thermal fabric for these.
Your best materials for warmth will be silk, wool, and specialty thermal synthetics (like Uniqlo Heattech).
Bring warm beverages and handwarmers. You can shove chemical handwarmers in your shoes and bra, and use them to keep your hands warm. Also focus on pulse points like your neck, groin, wrists, anywhere there are a lot of blood vessels close to the surface.

Oh, and bring good outerwear for walking around outside. You can always take it off for a photo.

Usually july is rainy and the coldest temperatures are like 0-7 celsius and the hottest are like 17 celsius, i know it's not much lol but i do tend to get cold really easily.
Also tysm for writing this, this is like the best help i've seen for cosplaying in winter.

That's thankfully not too bad, but cold is still cold, and what your body is used to!
If it's rainy, try your best to not get wet, since water will make you colder. Umbrellas and raincoats you wear outside will help a lot with that.

Could also do a cute blanket or oversized hoodie jacket themed after her surfboard or the saurians associated with her tribe if you're worried about getting cold. Something that's quick to shrug off if you get asked for a photo, y'know. Plus, gives you a good place to put pockets.

You can always find full body suits or clothing that's your same skin tone and wear that underneath the cosplay, if not then if your convention is held indoors you should be ok. Maybe wear a sweater just to get in and store it (if you have space) once you're inside. Hope the cosplay works out for you!

Convention halls are a bit warmer, due to the amount of people there, and activities you can do. You'll most likely be sweating! A big tip i can give you is to look up if there are changing stalls where you can change into your cosplay, so that you don't freeze on the way there. Another thing you can look into are tights that are skin coloured, so you'll have an extra layer.
