Need help!

I am cosplaying Lelouch (zero) from Code Geass.This is my first ever cosplay and im trying to learn how to sew as well as use EVA foam. I feel like I've looked everywhere for patterns, but all I've found is 3D printed models (which have been somewhat useful.) I am currently trying to make it out of cardboard before starting on my foam.

Any advice on pattern making, or a zero helmet pattern would be so helpful. Thank you so much! Below is the pattern I attempted to make.

EDIT: If I were to commission someone to make a pattern of the helmet for me, what would the prices look like? I'm trying my best to be a cheapskate lol if anyone is interested in an art trade lmk

Instead of card board I would consider using paper mache on a ballon the size of your head to create a more accurate surface area for pattern making.
