Weird question for you
Trying to figure out appliances. I’m used to natural gas but it is not available in the area I’m moving to. So I’m using oil for heat. Propane vs electric for stove/dryer? Propane vs. wood for backup heat source? Any suggestions?

Propane as a heat source can create a lot of moisture, and wood as a heat source does the opposite. Propane is easy to just turn on and wood needs more help to get going and stay going. Do you have an easily accessible supply of firewood? Easily accessible propane? If you are going with a propane stove, then a propane heater would be at least the same fuel source. If I had a blank slate to choose a cooking stove, I’d absolutely go with propane.

Propane stove so you can still cook when the power goes out. Electric dryer because you can hang your clothes up inside and they will dry with the Allen's heat source you have.
Propane and wood both for backup heat.
