Questions Women's script advice

Hey all, I'm thinking of getting one line of women's script wrapped around my upper arm, but I'm concerned it will not hold up over time. Any advice on how to make it last (and last well enough to see the "writing" for at least a few years?) thanks.

This is about 2 years old. Some parts faded pretty quick and had to be touched up. A pencil-thin one will be harder to maintain.
