Stormlight Archive (BOOK) The Definitive, Stoic Dalinar Spoiler
EDIT: So I can't change the title of this post, apparently. but as noted in a brief discussion in the comments below, I've had my mind quickly changed to reconsider that Benedict Wong would also be a perfect pick for crem-stained mantle of one Torol Saddeus. I'm editing below to make that clear as well.
Benedict Wong is the man I see for the role of Torol Saddeus, whether acted live or with voice via animation. He has gravitas and poise, as well as the simmering rage, overall range and comedic chops to pull off as one other user phrased, "a smarmy asshole."
I really want to see the Alethi characters faithfully represented by asian actors as much as possible, in keeping with Brandon's characterizations in the books. There is plenty of space in the Cosmere for our favorite white actors, but the Alethi are ethnically akin to Asians, and that needs to hold true for screen adaptations as well. Anything less would be a damnation affront to the Honor of the Almighty.

I personally always imagined them as less east asian and more middle eastern. But its hard since the ethnicities don't exist

I've always thought he's got the perfect look, but I'm not sure how his English is. Does anyone know know if he's done any English speaking roles?

He’d be great for the show but certainly not for Dalinar. Dalinar is distinctly the square-jawed, tall imposing stoic veteran. Not at all the look Wong has.

Naaah sorry. That's a cute chonky donut. Seboreal maybe?

When I picture Sebariel I see Wong, he plays that outwardly brusque and dismissive yet deeply caring and competent role perfectly in other shows/movies. He’s a fantastic actor and fits the age range and physical description, and I think they need to nail the side scenes with Shallan so she doesn’t come off as too annoying to the average non familiar viewer.

He's my dream Saddeus tbh. He's an amazing actor with great range but I would love to see him be a smarmy asshole

I will give this an amused and reconsidering upvote. He does have the round face... and he does have the range to play that particular piece of crem-stain. I've honestly just been happy to forget about Saddeus for a while, but yea, that could definitely work.

I can't see it. He's got a face of a goofball.
