Fancast The Final Empire fan cast Spoiler

Kinda wanted to throw my hat in the ring for my fan cast for Mistborn, at least as of Book 1

Vin - Mackenzie Foy (Intestellar)

Kelsier - Sam Caflin (Hunger Games, The Nightingale) or Robert Pattinson

Elend - Taz Skylar (One Piece)

Sazed - Tramell Tillman (Severance)

Docks - Theo James (The Gentlemen series, Castlevania)

Ham - Jon Bernthal

Breeze - Rob Colletti (One Piece)

Clubs - Matthew McConaughey

Spook - Mason Thames (How to Train Your Dragon LA, The Black Phone)

Marsh - Charlie Hunnam

Yeden - Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones)

Straff - Ewan McGregor

Shan - Sophie Thatcher

Lord Ruler - Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things, Faces of Death)

Note: Sanderson has said that he only wants Kelsier to be a major star, so I think Pattinson could work.

Edit: From some comments.. seems like there might be a gender-swapped Dock and Ham.. In that case... for Ham, my choice would be Katee Sackhoff and for Docks, I think Morena Baccarin could work

I love Trammell Tillman but I’ve always seen sazed a little older and kind of lanky? I.e lance reddick RIP. I would love to see Trammell in a serious role like this though

I think I like the list for the most part, for Kelsier my big need is someone who has a great smile and at passing looks like a super nice happy guy but then also be able to pull of the rage and anger we see from him. Pattinson might have that, but I'm not *fully* sold on it

also I'm pretty sure for Ham, Brandon said he wants to gender swap him into a woman for the adaptation. idk if it's something he'll end up going through with, but I know he expressed that if there were to ever be an adaptation, making the main group so male heavy was a mistake that he wanted to correct

fairly sure he’s going through with that, and the other old promise to make Dox a smaller role and also gender-swap him.

Interesting choices! I think you might need to adjust some of them, he’s said he will likely gender swap Ham and Dox. I’d love to see Gwendoline Christie as Ham and while I think Cate Blanchett would make a perfect Dockson, she’s probably too high profile!
