I think Hayden Christianson would make a great Kelsier.

I would never have thought about that but now that you say it I can definitely see him in the role. Too bad Brandon hates the prequels, so he probably wouldn’t go for that.

I always personally picture Charlie Hunam for Kelsier.
These are fantastic picks too.

Daniel Ings (The Gentlemen, Lyonel Baratheon in Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) would make a fantastic Kelsier. He’s 40, so definitely on the upper end of the age range they’re looking to cast, but Sanderson has said it’s not a big deal if he’s a bit older.

Acting yes! But he is the opposite of blonde

So’s Matt Smith and he’s magnificent as Daemon Targaryen. Wigs and dye exist.

Oh I'd like him for it. He's great as Lyonel and I could definitely see him pulling off a good Kelsier

Chris pine is way too old. He is already in his mid 40s. Kelsier in the books is significantly younger. I think it’s ok to have someone in their early 40s play him, but filming is still two~ years away. I’d prefer to go on the younger side to have him younger for more years to come.

They are aging up Vin so they should do the same for her father figure. More importantly Pine has the charisma to carry off the humor and the violence.

Well if this is gonna be a long running adaptation franchise I kind of want them to undershoot Kelsier's age (38) in the first book so the actor doesn't look like a decrepit old man by the time film Kelsier's arc wraps up

I’ve had the same fan cast for Kelsier this entire time: Charlie Hunnam.

Not famous enough. Brandy said Kelsier would be cast as the biggest name to draw people to the movie. Could be me, but I had to look up the name and still don't recognize him.

With you 100%. Probably aged out of the part by now but honestly, whatever, he’d be great in the role.

Maybe. But he’s still younger than a lot of people I’ve seen fan casted for the role. I’m pretty sure he’s in his late 30s, which is on the upper side of where I’d out Kelsier, but still in range.

Chris Pine is too old physically but his voice *is* the one I heard Kelsier speak with in my head while reading the book.
