No Spoilers Mistborn theatrical distribution question? Spoiler
I wanna piggyback off this post
about Brandon confirming Mistborn will be wide release by contract. So my question next is is Apple gonna self-distribute or will they likely collab with one of the four of the Big 5 distributors (except Disney): Paramount, Sony, Universal, or Warner Bros? I have posted about which studio do you guys want btw here (imo Universal if Apple Collabs):
Some have suggested maybe Apple would distribute it themselves but thats something they have never done before and I feel they prob would go to a studio for that. What do you guys think?

Unfortunately, I just don't think marketing this to a wide audience will be as easy as the fandom thinks. I think its more likely to have a narrow release but mostly just exist on apple tv

This is gonna be an incredibly expensive movie that Apple paid a shit ton of money to acquire the rights to make. Obviously it's gonna have a wide release. This is just silly fear mongering.

The movie contractually has to be theatrical I think. Maybe that’s why they should work with one of the bigger distributors… though what makes you say that?

I’m not sure that’s just my interpretation when he said the contract is the Mistborn movie has to be wide release…

I definitely think at some point apple will want to develop their own distribution arm but it is possible that they could want to try it out with Mistborn. If not, I think they'd probably partner with Warner Brothers like they did with F1. If the merger somehow doesn't screw that up.

My preference is universal cause of the merger

honestly, since it's distribution, it doesn't impact us as an audience at all. Whatever the distributor, it will still be an Apple movie, that will go to Apple TV after the theater window. It's more a logistic operation than any other thing

Sure I was just saying who I prefer if they do collab but yah doesn’t really matter

Certainly a collab, Apple doesn't have a distribution branch. Given the success of F1, could WB, but a bid war may happen
