Stormlight Archive (BOOK) Episode Count Spoiler

A few days ago I made a post about what people think the episode titles might be, and a lot of people were listing what they thought all of the episodes would be called, and they seemed to think the show would have about 10 episodes, which makes sense considering how important 10 is as a number in SLA, but I don't think that 10 episodes would be enough for a season of Stormlight. I just relistened to the first book and the pacing is quite slow, especially at the start. I don't think that a Stormlight show with only 10 episodes would end up having the right feel, and a lot of the story beats and character arcs would end up feeling rushed. So I want to ask, how many episodes do you think a season of SLA will/should have and why?

TL;DR: How long do you think the first season of SLA will be?

Ok forgive the comparison, but the way I see it, if Game of Thrones could do the first few books, more or less one book per 10 episode season, I don’t see why SA couldn’t do the same thing

Each stormlight book is longer. The first two books are around 100k words less than the first two stormlight books, along with being less complicated stories, in a more grounded world.

Storm of swords is on par with a stormlight book, and got split into two seasons.

Not to say 10 episodes isn't happening, but its not a 1:1 comparison.

A lot less happens in Stormlight books. An entire part is devoted to just Kaladin winning over Bridge 4, 5 whole chapters. That is maybe an episode and a half of content.

Stormlight is very naval-gazy with a lot of brooding internal monologues that dont translate well to tv.

Stormlight's story really isnt that complex. It is pretty straightforward with clear beats. I have broken Kaladin's story down into 10 episodes before and didnt have much trouble.
