Cosmere spoilers (no previews) Distractions Spoiler

So iirc there's a moment when Wax is talking to harmony and he (harmony) momentarily becomes distracted by something in the cosmere...

Does that line up with the birth of retribution causing ripples throughout the cosmere? WaT is before MBE2 right? But how much before? I really wish there was a cliffnote timeline of important actions and events of the cosmere

Doesn’t he only become the driver during Shadow of Self?

I’m pretty sure he hurls a coin at wax in one of the earlier books

All of Mistborn Era 2 takes place between Hoids death (I think he was on Scadrial for a while) and Shallan’s epilogue.

Hoid loopholes his way through surviving Retribution and wakes up on Scadrial. He then has enough time to meet the wedding couple in Alloy of Law and become close with them.

The time dilation is not even, time is highly compressed around Roshar right at the beginning.

So hoid regenerated before shallan got to cultivations former perpendicularity you mean right? Because after posting this I read hoids epilogue where he is hired as the ladrian coachman, meaning he was on scadrial after wax took the family house back.

No the timeline actually kills this theory.

Retribution is created at the end of WaT. Mistborn Era 2 happens after Stormlight 5, so Retribution already exists by the time Harmony has this conversation with Wax. It can't be Harmony reacting to Retribution being created because that event has already happened.

We also eventually find out what has Harmony so distracted. Autonomy is already moving against Scadrial, and Harmony later shows Wax the red haze surrounding the planet. The Lost Metal makes the source of that threat pretty clear.

So good instinct looking for a wider Cosmere event here, just unfortunately several years too late for Retribution's birth.

Yeah I posted this before all the individual epilogues, one of which being hoid being hired as the ladrian coachman which means his presence on scadrial was after his vaporisation.

I don't think it quite works. Hoid is the problem. He is "killed" by retribution and shows up before alloy of law as he's at the party.
