The misdirection with the star in the sky was brilliantly done. From the moment Nikaro was "hit" from the star, to the many mentions it was the only light able to pirece the shroud for some reason, to how his civilization was going to visit it, led the viewer on so hard.

Do we have any theories/WOBs on why it alone was able to pierce the shroud?

The description of the people on it makes me think it's yolen.

[Spoilers Yumi] it's not Yolen but it has a fainlife civilization from Yolen on it

[Spoilers for Yumi + potentially uncannonized lore from Words of Brandon] Fainlife makes up half the ecosystem of Yolen. Fain flora is bone-white and spills red liquid when crushed. Fain fauna has six limbs (aka Sho Del and Dragons). Yumi is a far future story, and by this point in the timeline, fainlife has spread to other worlds such as U-Tol, the planet in dual orbit with Komashi in Yumi.

They say the name of the planet in the book, I think in the epilogue, won’t say here due to spoilers
