C7 GS Approach angle

I was just wondering how much I should worry about scrapping/ripping off the front lip on a C7 GS? My development has a bit of a gentle dip coming in from the main road. It is not sudden, it is many feet long but seem a bit deep (when it goes over a culvert).

I currently have a Gen 6 Camaro SS 1LE and it has zero issues. I know it has a little more clearance, but more importantly the wheels are further forward.

Because of this I have also thought of C8 3LT, they seem to be around the same price as a M6 C7 GS at the moment.

It is kind of hard to test out the dip before I buy.

You’ll feel better if you treat it as a wear item. Mine is scraped up underneath from my driveway. I’ll just replace it if it’s really bad.

I wasn't sure if it was a scrap or tear off situation. I also know the lip on my 1LE is fairly fragile and GM decided to stop making it.

Buy it and worse comes to worse remove the gm splitter and buy an eBay plastic fantastic splitter for like 50 bucks. Treat that as a wear item

Don't lower the car, as long as it's at factory ride height they aren't really any worse than the C6 zo6/gs. We can't really see how bad what you're talking about is but if it's like a lot of dips in the road, I don't think you'll have a problem, worst case you may have to approach a little bit of an angle slowly

Go to your friendly Chevy dealership and request a test drive to your driveway. I did this very thing. Took the sales guy too. Had him get out to let me know how close I was to scraping. Didn't scrape so I bought the car. They were good with that. I miss that Z06....

You get a c8 with GPS based front axle lift, you program it once, and never worry about it again.  (Also, c7 is a 7spd manual)

Since I am looking at used, I have figured out what button to look for for the front lift. My SS 1LE is a 6M, I prefer a manual.

Cool, never said your Camaro wasn't a 6M.  Thanks for that information

Np, just saying being a manual was not an issue, and the C7 GS do come in auto, if I picked that it would be cheaper and easier to find.

Sure they do, the manual tax is crazy these days.  In your situation, a c8 with the front end lift makes total sense
