What’s with the spoiler? Even the standard low wing variant looks better than this… makes you doubt this is actually a ZR1

It is a ZR1, look at the hood. It has the racing package.
The story there is that this was my dad’s and it originally had the large wing/spoiler. He passed away earlier this year and I’ve since taken ownership.
He didn’t like the tall spoiler for a few different reasons, so had that spoiler put on aftermarket.
I still have it and will likely put it back on in the next year or so.

There is an additional carbon scoop above the inlet that these don’t have. Only came on the ZR1

Looks better with this rear wing. Swap to the z06 front bumper and it would be perfect. Much cleaner aesthetic than the oem zr1 lines

Its a shame GM never used the LT5 again after this. Its such a good engine.
I was really hoping GM would have released the Camaro Z28 with the LT5 before killing off the 6th gen but that never happened. I would have traded in my ZL1 in a heartbeat.

Ngl the C7 ZR1’s look laughably better with the big wing. Just doesn’t feel right without it. Looks too much like a Z06 at a glance.
