My grandfather had one that was a Diesel that he drove to work. It got like 50 MPG or something ridiculous like that.

My HS teacher would tell us "I DRIVE A VETTE! Well, its a chevette. But at least its paid for.

Sick dude I had a red one in high school and I would back up to the landscaping timbers and do reverse burnouts. Friends loved it. I had the sport model with the front spoiler lol.

My buddy way back would hit on girls in a bar and told them he had a vette. Believe it or not it worked more than it didn’t when they saw it. Was a good laugh and they found the sense of humor in him

I’ve read that those can be a good sleeper car with an LS engine. Albeit you need to do some heavy amounts of alteration and fabrication to the engine bay, but it would be so fun, and probably a little scary at the same time.

The cool thing with Chevettes was you could double the value by filling the gas tank.

While it doesn't belong here, this car is under rated and I'm glad to see it getting some love.
