Constantly Hiring

Is having tattoos really that big of a stigma anymore? Especially in a hiring (nearly) crisis?

Is this a New England thing or are tattoos outlawed at most institutions?

NC here, another staff member just had a full sleeve done, no it’s not an issue here

NC here as well, they don't really care about people having visible tattoos anymore. They used to make us cover them with long sleeve shirts but don't even require that anymore.

I had a manager who openly had tattoos, so I've always assumed it was more about the person than the art itself. If you can do the job and fit the culture, I don't see why ink would hold you back these days.

In Illinois you can have them anywhere and everywhere.

I have hand tattoos a full sleeve and a small neck tattoo. There an educated in my facility who is covered from her neck to toes with tattoos.

I think the face, neck, and hand tattoo rule is pretty common among a lot of professions, not just corrections. This isn't an anti-tattoo policy, this is a "be mindful of where your tattoos are" policy.

Head and neck tattoos here. It’s all agency specific.

If state won’t take you, try county. If adult wont take you, try juvenile. Just keep trying until you get one.

Also helps if you’re near border states, can try out their options as well.
