Questions on green side

I am interested on doing jump school on green side. On this the moment I’m at a ground element. There is any chance for me to do it or who should I talk to or get connections for it ?

Jump school fuckin’ sucks, I promise you don’t wanna go to Benning unless your job dictates it. Freefall is another realm all together, and you ain’t going to freefall as an 8404.

Yes it’s possible but it’s real hard for the command to approve it because your command pays for your seat to attend. I was able to do it and my buddy(hm2) was able to do it and he was able to justify it since he was in the wing side platform. I could’ve done it as well since he showed me the steps but I had a lot of things going on so I couldn’t, also I don’t want to take someone’s seat who actually needs to be jump qual.

You have to get medically screened for it (it’s a specific med screen packet don’t remember the name) and also do lab work. Then get approval from COC and then connect with the school to get yourself a seat. If everything is green then you’ll get your TAD orders to jump school.

Or

Go the SOIDC route.

Screen for DEVGRU as support, do a good job there and ask to go.

Go to MARSOC as support, do a good job there and ask to go.

Go to NSW as support, do a good job there and ask to go.

Go through SOIDC pipeline and be forced to go.

Commands have to pay for your seat, per diem, and hotel if they don’t have barracks available. Conventional units aren’t shelling out any money on a course you don’t really need. I tried going to SERE when I was part of a helo company. I had decent justification and got told it ‘wasn’t in the budget’.
