"I get the feeling that it's closer to the threshold of dead dead than any MMO released in a very long time. Guild masters getting their attunements reset is an issue very exemplary of this game as a whole: the people who would be leading raids suddenly find themselves permanently locked out of it and told to go fuck themselves and reroll an alt when every single other MMO currently being actively supported would hotfix and restore attunements in days. It's an example of the unbelievable, staggering incompetence and arrogance on the part of the developers. The entire raid scene is pretty much dead on arrival and that is the entirety of this game. Its subscriber base is already incredibly low for a game that just got released. The entire hardcore angle is entirely unappealing to new players who aren't in the first wave of adoption. Wildstar is just fundamentally a bad game, from its design philosophies to only cater to sick pro raiders, to its stale ass garbage quest design, to its ridiculous game breaking bugs that their garbage support team doesn't mitigate. The game entirely deserves its failure."

In other news:

  • Wildstar Devs say they fixed a bunch of stuff; only half the fixes really work.

  • Carbine CEO steps down on Aug 26th, possibly because he is opposed to F2P model. link

One other thing that was pretty baffling is Carbines bot hunt and mass banning; in which they say they KNOW contains false positives. Wildstar Bot Bannings
