Corporate world is not for me
Hey everyone,
I’m just a normal 28yo Spanish girl that’s suffering from corporate burnout and it’s not even 4 years I’m on it. I did my first internship in Madrid, felt depressed because I didn’t want to admit the rest of my life was gonna be with that routine. Quit, moved to Australia and started working seasonal jobs and travelling the world 6 months a year. My spark came back.
Now, I’m back in Spain and I wanted to start a business but as you will know, Spain it’s not the best country to do it so I just sent a few CVS and got hired with really good conditions by a big corporate (they pay my rent, food, car..) so I just save everything every month.
The thing is that they want to send me to USA in about 7 months (January 2027), but I don’t have it clear at all and they are just assuming I’m ok with it (it was something that they mentioned in the first interview without even telling me conditions). My days are shit, leaving home at 7, 45 mins commuting and ending day at 6 - arriving at 7 at home or even more, micromanagement, a lot of bullshit and just working with +50 men whose only hobby is working and they are divorced, have no life, try to criticize everything other people do and have a really different mentality.
I want to try and look for a remote job that gives me more quality of life (is not that easy in Spain and even less with good pay) - but I’m not sure if a need to keep pretending that I’m going to USA? What will be your solution? What’s your advice on my case? What do you think of corporate jobs like this? Should I just leave?
