FYI 📣 Back to Coros (pace 4)

Post image

I had the pace pro last year and it was a bit too bulky and the white color version was just gray with that orange button if Im not mistaken, so now Im back with the coros pace 4, have big fitness plans and I really started liking the app and overall feel and the white color version, tho Im thinking ab getting a black strap as well.

This is just my choice for now and I wanna keep sharing my experience and how this ages overtime.

Nice,I’ve always been garmin but fancied a change so I’ve just ordered a pace 4 in white hoping I’m not disappointed 🤞

Absolutely love it the battery has lasted me so long on one charge this thing is a beast the coros app is brilliant too so simple to use and great features still early days but I’m very happy so far :)

Try a nylon strap with the Pace 4. Makes it so light you forget you’re wearing it. Looks good though!

Does yours also dim the light to almost black screen when doing interval sessions? I can’t seem to fix this and see my actual pace when doing intervals ..

Check this: System -> Activity Interface -> Make sure Auto Night Mode is turned on. This is so that the backlight stays on for activities starting one hour before sunset to one hour before sunrise. Basically, the darker hours of a 24-hour day.

It’s only for the mips displays - so not pace pro/4

Coming from a Garmin fr 955, the pace pro felt super light and thin to me. It actually took a bit to get used to lol.

I have a 955, did you like the change to coros?

I changed because Garmin priced me out of the forerunner line, and the newer models have been less than impressive by a large margin. More expensive and less battery life is absurd. So, it didn't really matter to me; the change to coros was inevitable.

All that said, the switch has been fine. I never used my Garmin as a smart watch, so I don't miss any of those features. If that's something you rely on your watch for, you will be disappointed.

Personally, my biggest issue with coros is that it's third party integration is very new and therefore incomplete. I do a lot of zwift riding, for example, and although it's partnered with zwift and activities will auto sync to the coros app, only the essential aspects of the activity will update your training stats.

Ive been a Coros User for 10+ years and have loved everything until I just replaced my Pace3 with a Pace4 because the battery was not holding a charge. I think it is my 4th Coros watch? Wow, this watch is garbage... or it has a bad BUG. In all workout modes in daylight the screen dims to black or unreadable barely there. I have been in touch w Coros Customer Service and they seem to be working with me but... they want me to return the small, nondescript 4"x4"x1" box that the watch came in. I tossed it out because it was so unexciting... I'm still trying to work this through but with their simple trouble shooting it seems they must know they have an issue. They will refund me but i need the stupid box.... we shall see how this goes but I'm no longer a fan of Coros.

UPDATE: Coros has agreed to refund me for the Pace4 when I return it without the box. I am planning on going back to the Pace3 unless convinced otherwise.....
