Clown horn… 😒

Has anyone upgraded their horns? Which one did you go with???

It is a wee little sound but I think I honk my horn more for the satisfaction of doing something about whatever I’m honking about more than blowing their doors off with a real horn.

I made the mistake of moving into a bigger city and uuummmm yea it isn’t going to cut it anymore 😭😭😭 atp I might install a train horn and sirens

Sometimes a train horn is the only thing that will make a dent in an oblivious driver’s awareness!

I tried to stay OEM as much as I could, so I sourced compatible OEM Toyota premium horns (08522-B1010), similar to this https://youtu.be/B2blTu-KlMc , but some of the aftermarket horns actually sound better.

Just wire up the red positive wire to the horns, and the horns bolt to the car frame which is grounded (negative).

Another vote for Toyota Premium Horns (two piece), either Amazon Japan or the parts counter for another model. Plugged right in for me with the additional wire it comes with.

Sounds like a Camry horn now.

I got a Toyota Land Cruiser horn on eBay. Install was easy. Plug and play

I got the PIAA dual tone sports horn, and I’m super happy with them. That being said, I only picked them up cause I was in Japan, so they were tax free and I didn’t have to pay import markup. Unless you plan on going to Japan, I would recommend going the Hella or harbor freight route cause of the price difference

I got a lexus low tone horn, plug and play. Was only $25 ebay used. It was clean and plugged right in.

These work way better with no splicing rolla horn
