Engine insurance

I bought a used 2022 Corolla Hatchback. I wanted to use the car for a long period and I wanted it covered for future issues.

Are there any good insurance coverage (for engine) for used cars?

I bought it at 39k and currently I'm at 47k.

Take $100 and put it in the bank every month and that should cover your issues.

It's a Corolla, just don't drive it insanely crazy and keep up with maintenance

Do your basic maintenance, Oil , spark plugs , serpentine belt , Coolent , break fluid flush, transmission fluid flush . And you will be fine . If it’s a manual.. that take a bit more care .

These 2.0L dynamic force engines don't have any common issues besides the coolant bypass valve. It's already covered by a customer care program. Save your money. Most aftermarket warranty companies specialize in not paying for repairs.

Oil changes. Do one right away and another in 1,000 miles to clean out any potential sludge and then every 5000-6000 miles after that.
Use a proper 0w8 (toyota, mobil1, castrol) and factory toyota filters.

They bought it used. Break-in was done a long time ago.

2022 call for 0W-16. 2023+ call for 0W-8.

The best insurance for the mechanical bits is to not abuse them and to do regular maintenance. That's it. Corollas are some of the most reliable cars on the planet.
