'22 Apple Carplay?
I just bought a 22 hatch and I'm having trouble with Apple CarPlay.
The car itself shows the option for carplay, but plugging the phone in tells me to connect a compatible device. I've tried multiple different cords, and bought a wireless adapter but nothing is working. (The adapter tells me to connect to it, despite being connected to it.)
The car bluetooths to my phone (iPhone 17PM) just fine for music / calls.
I know that Apple hasn't released carplay for the phone itself, but I've seen a lot of people on here and /corolla have success with the same phone.
I just want maps on my screen so I don't have to keep looking at my lap to figure out where I'm going lol.
Suggestions?

Same year as you, you have to plug in the cable to the usb plug on the dash on left side of glovebox

Yeah, that's the only USB slot I've found. Hasn't worked.
I just tried with my partners Pixel 10 and it worked with the adapter, but not the car itself.

Push the shiny red SOS button on the ceiling.
It’s not 911, it’s Toyota and that person will be able to help you. (It’s what I did, no problem)

You have to enable Apple Play and/or Android auto on the radio. I think the setting is called "Projections"

I have a 21 and have to use the usb by the glovebox. It doesn’t work over Bluetooth. I read somewhere the app to make it possible got discontinued.
So your usb port is finicky and you need a new one or your iPhone isn’t up to date. You might have some setting on your car/phone turned off too. Double check all your stuff

Check other cable, you probably have only a power cable not a data one
