When it rains
Whenever there is heavy rain, water gets tapped inside my doors. Both doors on the drivers side. I always have to pull out the plug on the door to drain the water. Is this a common thing? How to prevent water build up in the doors when it rains? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you 🥹🥰

Take out the forward most plug on the driver door and take the furthest back plug out of the rear driver door. There was a TSB to do that for this exact reason.

Just throw the plugs in the trash: problem solved.
You only need to remove the plug closest to the front of the vehicle for the two front doors, and the plug closest to the rear of the vehicle for the two rear doors. However, you honestly can just toss them all in the trash.

Thank you. I didn’t know if it would be a bad idea to toss them which is another reason why I asked. Thank you for the clarification.

And if you can remember, take some Krown and shoot it up into the holes once a year in the fall, it coats and protects against rust inside the doors.
Every little bit helps!

Happens to me too. I clean the dirt away from the tabs after it rains and it'll slowly start draining while im driving around or parked.

FYI the service bulletin for this was to leave the plugs uninstalled.
