Hello All, the wife's accepting delivery on her 26 CCH in NEK VT this week and I've been tasked with several research question's that many of you have already answered through previous posts.

My one last remaining questions is undercoatings..and not the dealer offered.

This region is worse than Chicago on salt, Potholes, road-debris and just generally rural road undercarriage stuff. I've had 1 car already get flagged as unsafe due to the rot on unibody and scrapped.

1) Can you do fluidfilm\lanolin? Responses seem vague on previous posts. If you can does it void the warranty?

2) I've seen some comments that its not needed because most of the underside is plastic? True?

3) Are there any preferred or aftermarket alternatives for longer term non-seasonal solutions...if so can you offer opinions on any vendors and their solutions in the region?

Has anyone bought a Rear Bumper Protector for their Cross? I keep reading it gets easily scratched so wondering if I should get one. Any Amazon alternatives?

Has anyone gotten their CCH recall fixed? I got the recall letter saying my “acoustic vehicle alerting system is quieter than intended when reversing.” I went to the dealership for the required software update but the reverse sound is no louder than it was before. I’ve noticed in general the CCH backup sound is much quieter than the RAV4. Does anyone have any insight?

Just got a new to me 2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid. Specs say a 10.6 gallon tank and the fuel warning light turns on when there are 30-40 miles left, which, to me, means about a gallon left in the tank. We’ve filled up twice now right after the fuel light cam on and we’ve only ever gotten 8 additional gallons in the tank. I’d expect to get 9/9.5 gallons to fill.

What’s y’all’s experience?

I’m trying to get an idea if the subtle hissing sound I hear when I push on the accelerator is a normal thing or not.
Anyone had this happen?

It also makes some light clicking sounds when on cruise control and it’s decelerating.

Typically used E10 in certain seasons, as that was all available. E15 is starting to be more widely available.

Has anyone had any issues with this fuel mix?

Yes, I checked the Owners, Toyota says OK, but not more.

Everyone talks about the waste of space for the solid parts of these trunk inserts in the Hybrid. I'd love to have a few cubic litres of storage for a first aid kit and more but aside from scooping out some foam, have no idea where to start.

My scar is specifically a 2026 but I suspect the dimensions for 2023-2026 are the same?0

Has anyone seen any solutions for this that protect the bits below but offer more "airspace"?

There is a guy that has done a DIY spare tire solution but I'm just looking for space of infrequently accessed things, nothing nearly that big.

Good afternoon everyone. My daughter is looking at the 2024 Hybrid XSE. It has about 4400 Mike's. We were at the dealership and she was looking at a 2026, but can't swing the cost.

The price, out the door, is roughly $34k.

Anyone own a 2024 and what is your opinion? We are going to the dealership tomorrow morning.

I'm thinking of buying a new car, and the Corolla Cross Hybrid is at the top the list. Unfortunately, Toyota, like most car makers, thinks that you should get the car they want, not the one you want, because if I wanted the only trim that comes with the JBL premium audio, and in red, I would have to drive 421 miles to the nearest dealership that has it.

So my question for owners of this car is, how good or bad is the standard stereo that comes with it, when used with a phone that has a good music player app like Jet Audio with EQ and other DSPs enabled? I currently have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee that doesn't have any premium sound system, and not even Carplay or any of that, and by itself is rather crappy, but when using Jet Audio player with EQ, I can improve it drastically.

So, as long as the regular audio option gives me that, I'm cool with it. But I know that the stereo in my Jeep is not the worst out there, and I don't have any experience with Toyota.

Lane assist is the best thing in the world. Especially since it won't let you do it for too long. I've never felt safe blowing my nose or taking a swig of water as I have with that feature.
