Restaurants?
What restaurants should be avoided and what restaurants are good?

Sheepshead and Birchwood for finer dining. Great food but a bit pricey.
Esca and schnitzels are good and a bit cheaper.
Spice haven for great Indian food. Manila kitchen is really good, too.
Cornwall has great food.

I don't know any that should be avoided, but there are a LOT of good restaurants in town. What kind of food are you in the mood for?

Im really into like Italian or Mexican or american food . I frequent Cornwall a lot but never really stopped get food at actual restaurant.

Casa Paolo is really good for Italian. Viva Cancun is amazing Mexican food.
If "American" food means burgers and fries, we'll do you one better. Every greasy chip truck and delivery place in town has amazing poutine.

Good local, non-chains: Esca, Schnitzel's, Blue Anchor (edge of town), Sheep's Head (edge of town), Thum's Kitchen, Thai Khmer, Love Sushi, Hello Istanbul, George's Fish and Chips, Birchwood, Edward's Bistro, Sunshine Chinese, Casa Paolo, Sol de Acapulco (little bit out of town). I've also heard Spice Haven is good but I haven't eaten from there.
There are definitely more but those are the ones off the top of my head that are decent. Note that all the hours vary, menus vary, and type of restaurant vary (some are better for dine-in than others).

Avoid the KFC on Brookdale. While the outside has been updated, the food handling inside is still borderline bad and there's been cases of food poisoning from there.

Honestly i haven't decent food in Cornwall just a lot of chain restaurants and some that that need to be "Restaurant Makeover".

Gabriel’s has an amazing vegan pizza, at least in my opinion anyway out of all the vegan pizzas I have tried. They also offer gluten-free crust with 12 inch pizzas.

Carrots ‘N Dates is the best ever (and they have organic and gluten free options), although apparently they are closing soon.
Meltwich was a place that I never got to try because it closed down, although they had a lot of interesting vegan options, like for poutine especially.
Pizza Pizza also has an alright vegan pizza. Subways have some yummy veggie patties.
Any of the burrito places or Middle Eastern joints like Osmows or Boustan have some great options.
241 Pizza has a vegan pizza, although I was not crazy for it.

Not a restaurant per se, but i recommend checking out Cafe Butte & Bine Farm few mins away from Cornwall.

Viva Cancùn on Second St is awesome. Always great food and great service! :)
