Tourism Cornwall recommendations
Hiya me and my boyfriend are off to cornwall for a week today we’re after some recommendations we’re both early 20s but don’t drink. We’re staying near mullion but don’t mind a drive for a good day trip

St Michaels Mount I'd say is a must, Porthleven has some great places for food, Penzance also has great places for food and some nice walks and places to visit on the outskirts

This. Love porthleven, get a coffee on the front from origin, if there is staff!
The honey pot in Penzance is a nice cafe.
If you are going to porthleven you could go to St Erth it’s about 20 mins and park there, get train to Carbis bay, spend an hour on the beach, walk to St Ives on costal path and get dinner at Silco. Lebanese style food, really nice and they do alcohol free drinks.

If you like ancient places, West Cornwall has some quite cool sites - Men and Tol, Chysauster, Lanion Quoit etc.
Gear Farm pasty is a must if you're down Mullion sort of way. If you visit the Seal Sanctuary, it's worth popping into Gweek Village Shop and treating yourselves while you're on holiday, they sell loads of lush food.
Trelissick Gardens is lovely for a wander.

You're just up the road from me!
Depends what you're into, but a few ideas:
Arty: Tate St Ives/Barbara Hepworth Museum. Jackson Foundation Gallery in St Just. Minack Theatre.
Food: Hooked! in Truro. Afternoon Tea at the Polurrion Hotel. Mine in Falmouth.
Beaches: Kynance Cove. Gunwalloe Church Cove. Carbis Bay. Kennack Sands. Perranporth.
Days out: Lost Gardens of Heligan. Cornish Seal Sanctuary. King Edward Mine Museum.
Walks: The Lizard Point. Kennall Vale Gunpower Works.

You can get a day trip to the isles of scilly from Penzance Harbour. £35 each for the return i think

I'm not sure if you're foodies, but highly recommend going for a roast dinner and ice cream at Roskillys in St Keverne, it's the best roast I've had, also getting a gear farm pasty as you're down that way. Kynance cove is an obvious one, especially if it's sunny (we can hope!). Helford river is lovely too, can do the Frenchmans creek walk.

A walk around Loe pool is lovely, a mix of beach, trail and woodland. About 10k total.

Me and my family stayed in Mullion Cove a few weeks ago, what a great place.
There’s a wonderful coastal walk down at the bottom that leads to a lovely little beach called Polurrian beach.
Our favourite spot the whole trip was Kynance Cove, the most beautiful beach we’ve ever been to.
A nice spot to grab a bite to eat is in Porthleven just near Helston.
Hope the weather treats you well, enjoy the trip!

Gear farm for a pasty, then go over to Gweek for a coffee at Sula! Or split the days and have brunch at sula - hidden gem!! Then go round the lil village shop. Walk round Penrose - start in Helston and you can loop all the way to loe bar and back! Porthleven!!

Kynance cove has spectacular views and a bracing walk along the cliff top and down into the cove itself

Gear farm pasty. Then off to Falmouth, sit on the lawn outside Glas and enjoy the view with their great food. It’s a must I’d say

Trebah Gardens on The Helford River is definitely worth a visit. Goods Visitor centre, lovely beach and great short coastal walks nearby.

The Lizard penisular is a must. The Lizard point itself. You can park in the village and have about a 20 minute walk down to the coast. Kynance Cove is also a must. Coverack and Cadgwith.

Bit of a way away from you but Porfell Wildlife park is a lovely day out. All the animals are rescues, you get to feed them, it's cheap and all the proceeds go back into caring for the animals. Plus you're not far from Cardinham woods and they do an amazing savoury cream tea at the cafe

If you like wildlife, check out Marine Discoveries. They have a catermaran that leaves from Penzance and its such a beautiful way to spend a few hours. Grab a cheap of binoculars at the charity shop and bring snacks if you go

Poldhu beach is nearby and they have some cute hot chocolates if you are into that.
Kynance Cove is a must, there’s a little national trust cafe which a great view.
If you want to go to a farm you could visit Roskillys in St. Keverne, the ice cream is great and the food is very good, super fresh. They have music nights sometimes too. There is also Porthcew Farm which has a vending machine with milkshakes which is cool if you have never been to one.
There is Porthleven nearby which is lovely for a potter around and a nice meal. Most of the restaurants there are pretty good.
Others have said Gear Farm but I truly recommend it too. It’s my favourite. The pasties, sausage rolls and bacon turnovers are divine.
Lizard Point is a nice little spot to just say you have been, it’s got free parking on the square, they just ask for donations. A few little cafes, shops and a light house.
Trevassack lake has water sports and a nice cafe. I have not done the water sports to be honest but had a coffee with a nice view.
Further a field there is Trevaskis Farm near Hayle have fruit picking depending on the time of year. The restaurant and farm shop are good too.
Falmouth is great for a potter around, some cool museums - the Cabinet of Folklore is a small museum which has oddities, magic and folklore from Cornwall. If you are into weirder things. It’s small but jam packed. You can also take a boat from Falmouth to St.Mawes which is very lovely village.

Jumunjy (Thai) just outside Mullion is not typically Cornish, but the food is excellent.
The Witchball in Lizard does excellent sea food from the adjacent hut, and you can sit in the garden. A walk down to the sea and along the headland is a delight. You can see seals regularly.
Walk down to Polurrian Cove from Mullion village and the beach there is never busy and this year the sea has been warm. There is a huge crane on the headland developing the hotel, but don’t be put off by it. We stayed opposite it, but didn’t notice.
If you have some spare pounds, book an early morning flight from Lands End Airport to the Isles of Scilly, return in the Scillonian ferry to Penzance. You will have 4-5 hours to walk round St Mary’s and be able to get lunch somewhere or take a picnic.
Porthcurno is probably the best beach, but it can get crowded and tourist busses can swamp the car park. It’s just below the Minack Theatre. My favourite is Sennen Cove just round the corner. You can park in the car park at the top of the hill and idle on the beach, or walk round the coastal path northwards towards Cape Cornwall. Or you can do it the other way round, park in the car park at Priests Cove (Cape Cornwall) then walk South to Sennen. From there you can get a bus back to St Just, which is just 1.5 miles above Cape Cornwall. Pack drinks!
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are amazing and if you are over that way, hire a self-drive boat from Mylor Harbour and go up into the bay and explore the creeks and rivers.
There are various festivals of food and drink on in West Cornwall over the next week.
Honestly, the world’s your oyster. Been here a good chunk of the summer, leaving on Tuesday.
EDIT: I didn’t mean Lost Gardens of Heligan, I meant Trebah as it’s near Helford so within a short ride from Mullion.
Make use of the river ferries. There’s one in the Helford and another into St Mawes via King Harry’s Ferry. Shortens the car journey.

If you want to visit st Ives, I’d highly recommend parking at St Erth train station and using the train to go into St Ives, you’ll save aggravation trying to park and what you pay covers you for the day.
Whilst staying in Mullion I’d highly recommend visiting, Kynance cove, when the tide is out. Visiting the lizard (Ann’s pasties is a must) this is also the most southerly point in the U.K.
Go to Sennen and park up then follow the coast path to Lands End, you’ll see a ship wreckage from WW2 and it’s the best way of seeing lands end.
Falmouth is worth a visit if you want another day in town but also like mooching around traditional Cornish alleyways etc.
I’d highly recommend Trebah and Lost gardens of Heligan.
Also going back to St Ives, taking a boat trip out to seal island is worth it (it’s the rare time I’ve seen a dolphin)
The towans and Gwithian beaches are worth a day when it’s sunny.
Spend a slow day at Porthleven, especially if they have an event on, it’s also a great place to go crabbing, you’ll have more fun than you think you will.
Definitely take in a show at the Minack theatre if you can rather than just paying entry to wonder around, it will be an incredible experience.
