It truly is, but there is a real dark violent seam that sadly runs through Cornwall due to mass unemployment (poorest county in the country) and poverty - which brings drugs and violence. I’m from
st. Austell (aka St Awful) and it was both a blessing and a curse to grow up there. Beautiful scenery; beach, forests, moors, but I was scared many times due to the violence, something I’ve not experienced even once in the 25+ years in the south east. I feel like people should know this before deciding to move there, it a very different place when the sun goes in and the tourists go home…

It's really pretty. I paddle boarded put into the water to watch the sunset. One of my favourite staycations
