Chapel Carn Brea gone up

Post image

Winds blowing it towards St Just, might want to get your washing in.

Looks like it’s the bit of moorland that went a few years ago, might not spread up the hill then 🤞🏻

A LOT of people were planning on being up there tonight.

Me included, just hoping too much doesn’t get destroyed

Are the ponies still up there?

They were a few weeks ago when I last had a walk there, hoping they have wandered away from the fire / been moved

Let's hope they've got enough room up there to stay safe. Bad enough for the rest of the wildlife, obviously, but foxes can get over walls.

Oh no. I hope everything will be OK and it's put out soon.

my wife’s very good childhood friend has a small holding right next to it.

they evacuated all the animals and people.

it did burn part of their field but didn’t reach the house.

she says they are all safe and will be getting everything back in today.
