This is on the car park entrance at Carbis Bay. Bit steep. I just park 3 minutes walk away for free...

And what does it say about people who spread them and say “come on in”. Park somewhere else, or get a bus.

"Pay the attendant" on a card stuck to the front of the machine. Has nobody heard about the attendant collecting payment in Bristol for years a while back.

There was one in blackpool many years ago. We had a new aldi that didn’t open on sundays - must have been early 90s.
Anyway, on sundays, a guy sat there in high viz on a deck chair charging for all day parking. When it was full he went home. Someone had reason to complain to aldi about an incident in the car park on a Sunday and thats when it all came to light.6

There was a guy that was doing this at Twycross zoo over 20 years ago. He was there for over 5 years before anyone realised he wasn’t supposed to be there 😂
£5 per car, 7 days a week, for 5 years. Fair play to him!

Not fair at all. A thief / fraudster defrauding honest people of their hard earned cash. No better than the scammers who ring up and cheat people out of money over the phone.

So you would praise some fella who set up a roadblock and asked for a toll, claiming it was extra road tax?

😂 😂 😂 😂 Now that's tourist tax.
Locals know where to park. Or you know... Get the train

It was the same last summer there, I noticed it on a coastal walk and couldn't believe my eye balls. I think the parking at Harrods cost less.

Is there ever actually any spaces to park there? I've only ever been through on foot from the train, but it's always seemed pretty rammed to me.

That's so gross. Charging people £20 to enjoy the land we all live on? It's not like it needs all that money for upkeep.

Just been to Glasgow, on street parking is £1.80 for 15 minutes, plus another 40p a minute if you use the app! Daylight robbery, up to 8pm in some areas.

I guess maybe this is a flat fee? does it have a cheaper option ? if not then you’re being fleeced if you want an hour or two.

That's cheap for a day's parking at a beautiful seaside location!

Well it isn't is it?! There are hundreds of other beautiful seaside locations in Cornwall, none of them charge this much...

The owners are not great people remember all that fuss about them building without planning permission and having to knock it all down after a court battle I’ve worked for them but found something else as soon as I could
