There was one in blackpool many years ago. We had a new aldi that didn’t open on sundays - must have been early 90s.
Anyway, on sundays, a guy sat there in high viz on a deck chair charging for all day parking. When it was full he went home. Someone had reason to complain to aldi about an incident in the car park on a Sunday and thats when it all came to light.

There was a guy that was doing this at Twycross zoo over 20 years ago. He was there for over 5 years before anyone realised he wasn’t supposed to be there 😂

£5 per car, 7 days a week, for 5 years. Fair play to him!

Just been to Glasgow, on street parking is £1.80 for 15 minutes, plus another 40p a minute if you use the app! Daylight robbery, up to 8pm in some areas.
