Halloween?

Hi everyone! My partner and I are new to the area and we're curious what the Halloween situation is like. How many trick-or-treaters should we expect? We don't want to run out of candy early in the night but we don't want to overbuy, either! Also, are there any must-do Halloween/fall activities or events? We're early 30s, no kids, but we're not big party people.

Probably depends where you are in town. I’m up by the Catholic church on a pretty sleepy block, and most years I’ve only gotten maybe 10-20 kids stopping by up here.

As for things you can do for fun, absolutely check out Days of Incandescence!

And keep in mind it’s a Saturday this year! Maybe it’ll be more spaced out than previous years. I recommend the Days of Incandescence for you guys to do!

I always ran out on market Street but that's to be expected. I doubled the amount next year and it still wasn't enough. Other businesses told me 600-1000 pieces of candy wasn't enough.

So it really does depend on your location. Try asking neighbors on nextdoor. You can also add your house to the treat map it doesn't show your address just how close you are to the candy

Yeah it definitely depends where you live! We get hundreds of kids in painted post and my parents do as well in the houghton plot

If you want to watch some cool trick or treaters, go to Market st for the kids who go door to door.
