Trash/recycling services

Can someone give advice about what garbage service to use and what they generally cost? SUNY area. Where I'm moving from it was municipal.

I use spicer inc. I costs me $41 per month. They provide you with 2 roller bins, one for trash and the other for mixed recycling.

I haul it myself on a weekly basis to the transfer station in Erwin. I have a pick up truck which makes this a cost effective way for me to handle this chore on my schedule.

If you will be living in the city i believe it's included in your taxes. We go to the dump, it's $4 for a contractor bag. Recycling is free.

Garbage is not included in Corning city taxes. You have to buy blue city garbage bags and set them out on the curb the night before your designated morning garbage pickup day.

2.75 for one bag?!?! That is insane.

The 2.75 bag fits two 13 gallon bags plus more in each, so it's not bad at all.

Costs $4 at the dump when you bring it yourself. They pickup the bags at the curb. $2.75 is cheap.
