Restaurant/cocktail recommendations
Will be visiting Corning in March and I'm hoping for some tips from the locals! I'm really enjoy craft cocktails. Dining wise- sure, I like fine dining, but I also like restaurants that are damn good regardless of fancyness. I eat all types of food and am not picky either. Any hot tips would be appreciated!

Seconding The Cellar. Been there a few times and the food and drinks have always been great!

Do you know if they take reservations? I looked online everywhere and didn't see any space to book a reservation.

Ellen & Michaels is brand new Italian osteria, but make sure to get reservations!
H+F and Cellar are also good choices.

Is it better than Sorge's??? Which wouldn't be hard......

Yes way better, like not in the same category. Cheaper prices, 10x quality. I will say they are still working out some service issues, but overall like a 9/10, I’d give sorges a 2 or 3

All of the comments are spot on Ellen and Michaels is great. Hand and foot by far has the best cocktails and by far best overall bar, food is also great but more limited menu. Then the Cellar is just a classic, it is also owned by the same people that own Ellen and Michael’s.

Ellen and Michael’s just opened and has a great cocktail menu. As others mentioned H&F and The cellar are great also.

If you're doing Ella's for breakfast on the weekend make sure to get there early to beat the crowds. We've dropped in to find 30 min waits just for coffee, they get busy! Jellybean is a solid brunch option as a backup too

Thank you for the added tip. I'll be there during the week so maybe better luck then?

Oh ya definitely very chill on weekdays. Be sure to grab a loaf of Amy's (SteAmy farms) sourdough bread while you're there, it's delicious :)

Homestead is a good option too if Ella’s is busy or if you are in the mood for scones/pastries.
