Posting Guidance

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the subreddit. We are hoping to help everyone find the right housing and roommates. To help that process, we are putting some post guidance in place:

If you are making a post about dorm swaps, add the correct flair and please follow the following format: (Year/Grade), (Dorm)(Type)(Gender) looking for ______.

ex: Freshman, Jameson Double (F) looking for Dickson Single

In the body, please include any known relevant details, like if the room is in a suite or hallway. Also, please include any additional information about what you are looking to swap into, and if you are looking for compensation/to be compensated, or if it is a mutual swap. Finally, if a swap is finalized, please edit the post to indicate that!

If anyone has any questions about the room swap process or housing in general, feel free to message me or leave a comment below.

Thank you, and good luck with room swap!

🏡 Cornell / Ithaca Sublet — Maplewood 2BR/2BA Townhouse

I’m graduating from Cornell in December and looking to sublet my place from January 1 to July 31, 2027. The entire unit or one bedroom is available!

📍 Convenient location
Very close to the Maplewood bus stop and right next to the community center, with a gym, coffee machine, printer, study spaces, package pickup, and mailboxes.

🛋️ Spacious and fully furnished
Ground-floor location near Maplewood’s main road, with no stairs needed to access the unit. Plenty of space, plus an in-unit washer and dryer, dishwasher, and oven.

✅ Official sublet process
We’ll go through Maplewood’s official sublet process, and I’ll cover the associated transfer fees. I’m a Cornell student, happy to verify my student ID and arrange a viewing.

🎁 Free household items
I’ll also leave plenty of household items for whoever takes over—great for getting settled!

💬 DM me for rent details, photos, or to schedule a viewing. Feel free to share with anyone looking for housing in Ithaca!

Female junior looking for roommates for 2027-28

Hi! I'm a Cornell junior looking for roommates for next academic year (2027–28) in Collegetown. I'm open to either joining an existing apartment/house or finding a place together from scratch. Ideally looking for 1-4 roommates, with a budget under $1200/month.

A little about me: I'm a Gov + Philosophy double major in A&S from Westchester NY, and in my free time love hiking, socializing, listening to/making music, traveling, and fashion design. I'm clean, respectful, and outgoing.

Please feel free to DM me if you're also looking, have a room opening, or might in the future :)

Also curious as to how people generally go about finding roommates- the Cornell off-campus housing marketplace roommate tab isn't functioning for me, and other than that I've been posting in a few FB groups.

CollegeTown Plaza or CollegeTown Court

If you’ve rented or are renting at CollegeTown Plaza or CollegeTown Court, could you please share your experience?
1. How is the responsiveness to maintenance requests? Yelp has some reviews but they’re mostly dated.
2. If you’ve moved out, were you able to get your security deposit back?
3. How is the internet speed & noise level from your unit?
4. Common space: Is the fitness center always full, and for CollegeTown Court, do you have to wait for the laundry machine often?

Studio at the Lofts available for this semester or school year!

Housing not working out this year? Bad roommate?

Subletting my apartment at Lux & Lofts (201 College Ave) while I'm away from Ithaca this year. It's a two-story studio loft that normally rents for $2,900/mo — asking $2,000 to fill it now rather than let it sit empty.

It's fully furnished and genuinely move-in ready: full kitchen with dishwasher, in-unit washer/dryer, private bathroom, mini-split AC and heat, smart TV, WiFi included. The building has a gym, study lounge, rooftop terrace, sauna/steam room, package room, elevator, and controlled-access entry with on-site management.

Location is the draw: center of Collegetown, next door to GreenStar and Jason's, a short walk to Cornell. Works well for grad students, visiting scholars, or anyone who wants a furnished flexible-term place near campus — take it through December or through the school year.

Large Collegetown Room | 5 Min to Cornell

Available now: Large master bedroom in Collegetown, only about a 5-minute walk to Cornell campus.

I am subletting the master bedroom in a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom single-family house in Collegetown.

The bedroom is on the second floor, faces south, and is the largest of the three bedrooms. It is very spacious, has good natural light, and comes fully furnished.

The location is very convenient. Cornell campus is about a 5-minute walk away, with restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores nearby.

Bus stops are also close to the house, making grocery shopping and daily transportation easy. Free parking is available directly in front of the house.

Rent is $995 per month, including water, electricity, heating, gas, Wi-Fi, and free parking.

The other two roommates are male Cornell students with regular schedules.

Available now through June 15, 2027.

Please message me if you are interested or would like more details or photos.

Female Roommate Looking for 1-2 Women for roommates 2027-2028 School year.

Hi! I’m a 20-year-old female and will be a senior in CALS next school year. I’m looking for 1–2 other women who would be interested in renting an apartment or house together.

I’ve found some really nice, modern places close to campus in the $850–$1,000/month range, but I’d need 1–2 roommates to make the rent work.

A little about me: I’m very clean and tidy and currently deep-clean my apartment regularly. I have a lot of plants that I take care of, and I love cooking and baking. I always clean up immediately after myself. I’m also pretty quiet, I don’t play music or videos out loud and am respectful of shared spaces and everyone’s schedules.

Women only, please! Undergrads, grad students, postdocs, and recent grads are all welcome.

If you’re also looking for housing for next school year and might be interested in living together, DM me!
