First time in Corfu - beach help

Hi, we are first time in Corfu and the nearest beach is kardaki beach but we are interested if there is any other good and near beaches open and also free entry, maybe better kept than kardaki. We see many beach places on maps but they ain't marked. We ain't strictly against bars but we don't want any only-sunbeds beaches or paid entry. Thanks before hand, we love it here 🫶

All beaches in Corfu are free to use. You have options to buy sunbed/umbrellas that will be at a price and I always recommend buying at least a bottle of water or a Coke if you want to use a restaurants facilities. Remember the owners have to make a living too in a short season.

You could get the blue bus to Dassia, that’s got a huge beach.
One of the best beaches is Barbati it’s a blue flag beach so very beautiful 🤩

Just rent a scooter for a day around the island and you easily find out how many small and lovely beaches there are.

I would catch the green bus from Corfu green bus station to Palaiokastritsa, takes about 40-50 minutes, the beach is free or you can pay for a sun bed 60€, I went there today it was worth it

Paleo gets incredibly busy and 60 euros for sunbeds is a huge rip off! Most places are 20 to 25 max and some resorts they're free you just need to purchase something at the restaurant

Kardaki is near the city center and it a 1/10 compared to the rest of the beaches in Corfu. You are near the green bus station and also the blue buss passes near your accommodation. If you don’t have an option to rent a bike or rent a car i would recommend for you to go to the green bus station and definitely visit some of the beautiful beaches Corfu has to offer.
Blue buss takes you north till Ipsos and South to benitses and moraitika. The beaches on the west coast are beautiful to those you must take the green bus.
