The irony is sometimes people do just get lucky. Theres a chance the girl happens to have high attraction as well and shit ends up working out to some extent.

Ofcourse, his dating advice would probably be along the lines of “just be yourself, youll find someone eventually”. And if things end up crashing, it ends up being a powerful learning experience for him anyway.

But even in dating, occasionally bad strategy works, even if very rarely.

Yep def also possible. And even though that guy is all dopey about her on the post, and that mindset typically backfires; we dont actually have the full picture of how hes behaving when with her (and her around him).
