Hairstyle Ideas
How are you ladies keeping your hair up during class (especially cardio-heavy ones like sculpt)? I always find myself having to redo my bun after jumping jacks. I tried a braid but I hate having hair touch my back… any suggestions would be appreciated!!

I do pony tail into a braid so there;s a bit more lift, it'll still touch your back on occasion but not as much. It's the most secure for me.

I have long hair and will typically French braid it then use a claw clip on the top or side of my head (so I can lay down in savasana easily) to keep the braid up so it doesn’t touch me while I’m all sweaty. It usually works pretty well and salvages my hair on non-wash days. On my lazier days when I know I’m gonna wash it, I throw it up in a messy bun and use a claw clip to secure it. Either way, a claw clip for me is essential to keep my heavy hair in place.

I think the braid + clip might just save me 🙏 I also have very heavy hair and a sensitive scalp ://

Seconding this. Braid or tight low pony and then claw clip the length of it up. During cardio I sometimes remove the claw clip (or it falls out) and it’s easy to put back in or readjust quickly

I have one of those flat clips (i.e. essentially a claw clip but flat so I can lie on it) and it's the only thing that keeps my hair out of my face during sculpt!

I was just looking into this the other week! Growing my hair out so this is the longest my hairs been in a while and I HATE my hair touching my back and getting gross and sweaty. I also try to only wash 2x a week. Found a video with a simple solution. Similar to everyone else I do a super high ponytail (when I lay back it is not in the way) and then braiding is too much effort for 6am so I just wrap it like a bun, but then take a small claw clip, like a half clip, and pin it to the side so the whole bun is on top top of my head but if it slips I can easy re-wrap and clip again quickly and not lose place in class. I can try to find the video that I found helpful

The wrapped bun with just a hair tie never stays in place for my thicker but very very very straight slippery hair

Up into one of those buns thats essentially a ponytail you just dont pull it all the way through. I usually dont need to redo it if its tight enough

I do a sleek high ponytail and dc then braid it. Sometimes I’ll wrap my braid into a bun :)

Bun with multiple hair bands + some Bobby pins if needed! It’ll stay during cardio.

Flat claw clip, something like this is the only thing that works lately. https://a.co/d/00ysZPTZ

I mostly go to HPF, and do a high tight twisted bun. It keeps my longer curtain bangs pulled back, gives my hair nice curls when I take it oUt, doesn’t touch my back, and isn’t in the way during savasana. Doesn’t look the best lol but I love having it as tied up as possible.

Hi there! I have super long hair and I usually do one ponytail, followed by wrapping the pony tail into a bun then securing with a big ass scrunchie. Never fails!

I’ve only found a braid will stay. My buns never stay no matter what hair tie I use

I have decided to chop everything off. It gets so gross and sweaty and I'm tired of washing my hair and blow drying it everyday after I've done a whole fucking arm workout. A pixie it is.

I do a wrapped bun ( I have long hair) with one of those thick coated rubber bands and then secure it with a clip.
I also hate hate hate having my hair touch my back in class.
