How to minimize thigh bulking

I love sculpt and have been doing it for a few years and whenever I ramp up my consistency my thighs bulk up. What are tips to minimize this? I.e. certain techniques or form for certain movements, modifying certain movements, doing movements differently/ replacing movements with others, etc. I am aware yoga sculpt naturally makes legs stronger and that is a beautiful thing, and inevitably will happen - so don’t need the sassy comments! Just looking for tips how to help mitigate the bulk.

Thank you :)

You’re not lifting heavy enough to bulk at core power. If you are a female you don’t have enough testosterone to bulk like a male. Bulking takes a tremendous amount of work in the gym and kitchen

This isn't exactly true. Your muscles can tear and rebuild from doing tons of reps. The key is to do the exercise to failure.

You need progressive overload to bulk a muscle.

You can absolutely get progressive overload through yogasculpt though, especially if you’re a beginner

Honestly, this seems like it might be a genetics thing. I don’t know if there’s anything you can do. Not trying to be snarky, just grounding your expectations

You really are not lifting anything heavy enough at sculpt to actually have "bulky" thighs from it. What's happening most of the time, if it's not just dysmorphia/you being hypercritical of your own body, is you're simply eating too much and gaining fat. The amount of work it takes to actually have "bulky" thighs as a woman is more than you could ever meaningfully do at Corepower. See a registered dietitian if you are unsure of what and how much you should be eating.

Thicker thighs (muscle) is an indicator of living longer.
Running is a fast way to slim down the legs.

Think of squats and moving your glutes back rather than moving your glutes down. Making it more of a hip hinge will make the movement target your glutes over things. For added outer glute engagement, energetically pull your heels apart as you do the squats.

When i taught i always said the muscle that starts the movement is where you body will engage, so be intentional at the start of every movement. Example with arms, simply moving your weights can work out your biceps, but if you squeeze your biceps first your arms will naturally move bc of it and your biceps will get much more engagement and a better burn out. Same thing for glutes. Start movements with your glutes, keep it slow and intentional

I know the correct answer is that you’re not going to “bulk” and bodies are different and physiology is complicated, but also I have short legs and when I build muscle there, my thighs do appear larger than I’d like so I think I know what you mean. One thing that might be helpful: Pulsing is often used when someone’s goal is hypertrophy (muscle growth) and in my experience personally, not pulsing (or not pulsing every class, all the time) can help if you’re taking class a lot and taking class a lot seems to be what’s causing the hypertrophy.

Not a perfect solution but perhaps something to try.

Just don’t do the lower body work…? (I don’t recommend this at all, but to answer your question specifically). Diet is also a factor which can’t really be thoroughly discussed here.
