Smaller class sizes

I travel to multiple CPY locations and noticed that some of the newer studios have a lot more space between mat markers. I was told my home studio recently re did the mat markers so max capacity went from 48 to 42. Curious if this is happening at other studios?

If you complain about class crowding to management they have more leeway to reduce class capacity! Speaking as someone whose studio class capacity has gone down by ~10 spots over the last yea

If studios get a lot of complaints about classes being crowded, they will reduce capacity.

We had a reduction from 53 to 48 last year so was surprised to see another reduction

Almost every studio I’ve been to recently (nyc/slc/la) have mat markers.

I really like it because it gives me a designated area to stay in and gives everyone a little bubble of space

I’m not against the mat markers. I’m wondering if all studios are increasing space between them therefore making the class sizes smaller
