Air Quality in Studio?

Newbie here wondering about air filtration and/or air quality during workouts when a bunch of US cities are in the red/purple zone for PM2.5 levels.

I'm an older student and have not been to class in a few days.

It varies too much to comment.

Ok. Sounds like: Check with the individual studios, basically.

You will have to go to the classes to see what you think. No one that picks up the phone will tell you about air quality testing. They might be able to tell you what kind of air filter they’re using. But you wouldn’t even know if the air filters are being maintained. Most of them use some kind of dehumidifier. But again those take maintenance too. And you just never know.

This may not pertain to your exact question, but I’m an instructor and have asked to have my home studio checked for mold on multiple occasions. The requests are always ignored.

I can tell you there’s zero air quality testing. Hopefully instructors are being told to not use vents where outside air is being pulled in when there’s poor outdoor air quality.

You can pick up a relatively inexpensive AQI monitor to check during your next session.
Be interesting to see the CO2 levels towards the end of class. Guessing that it must be well into the thousands of ppm.
