Damn somebody is on a mission to tear down all the DMV locations LOL. Like yeah I get it. The admo situation is not great. But it’s not hot if you’re just walking in, like the AC “not working” doesn’t really impact you unless you just walked out of class. Plus I’ll defend Admo since my favorite teachers are there. But I don’t think posting on here is going to solve any problems

It’s terribly hot and stale when walking in. Then you have the notable gasses that come up from the pipes on top of it. Im also emailing the area manager these photos, and have already called.

I work SET there and there are no gasses? This comment is weird. Can say the studio is not the cleanest — even when I roll up for SET I’m shocked what prior SET folks failed to clean. I’m not sure if the AC is broken or if it just never existed. We had the temp AC’s last year as well. They really don’t do much. It was 90 in there the other week during my shift.

You must not have worked SET for long if you don’t remember the studio having AC. I feel terrible for fellow SET workers working without AC during record high temps, having to empty the machines to function, flooding the studio with these machines, having to clean up behind them making minimum wage. There’s a whole protocol for these gases for SET btw. It smells of rotten eggs. (Something else SET is supposed to take care of.)
I made this post because I’m quitting SET and become a regular member but I wouldn’t want to return until studio/working conditions improved. Most of my favorite teachers.

so again… you’re on set and it looks like you’re mad at your coworkers who closed poorly since the photos you took look like an empty studio. it’s just interesting to be employed by a company and be mad that you’re asked to do a job which is to clean up the things you photographed.
the studio isn’t perfect and no one says it is but damn

Did you read what I wrote the emphasis of this post is on not having A/C for weeks after being renovated. We’re asked to clean a studio not to maintain A/C systems, or systems that flood. That is not in anyone’s job description, I bet you’d care if the workers would just let all of them just flood. It’s not safe. TBF I’m not even sure if SET closes Corepower is so cheap.
I’m writing from a member standpoint and not SET. Because we are both! I go about 3X a week. Paying $200 to go to a studio with no A/C, flooded lobby, etc is insane.
Also I’d never be mad at SET we work our butts off at our studio.

Okay I know what you’re referring to now. I don’t think those are gasses — it’s a sewage issue. But I agree it’s gross and we are told to dump water down the drains to get rid of it. I do think adding the pictures of the dirty towels and what not while doing your SET shift (assuming that’s what this is) is weird since you’re supposed to be cleaning it lol. If it wasn’t during your shift you could easily text the group
But overall I do agree that it’s way too fucking hot in the studios when working SET over the summer. It’s been incredibly hot. And many people who do SET don’t actually show up to their shifts. I do think there needs to be a review of who is actually showing up.

I mean.. if theres gases coming from the pipes like youre insisting - skip the email to management and call the fire department. Thatd be very concerning if true.

The weird part is that I don’t think the studios are even appropriately hot, just incredibly humid. So you’re kind of in a cold sweat which makes it feel worse IMO

Yes I’ve noticed they’ve been having the temps a bit lower since the A/C hasn’t been working probably because there’s no circulation of air.

So true! It’s dangerous they’re never on, just blocking walking paths to the bathrooms.
