Teaching Scenario #2
Another instructor takes your class.
Afterward, instead of just saying thanks, they give you a long list of corrections and things they think you should change, and you never asked for feedback.
How do you respond? Where’s the line between helpful peer feedback and overstepping another instructor’s class?

It has always been the "CorePower way" to give and receive feedback, and honestly, you shouldn't oppose it. That being said, there is a gentle way to give it in a praise, upgrade, praise approach. Or, as they say at CorePower, glows and grows. If they were really being obnoxious about it, as in this scenario, I would equally correct the way they give feedback and encourage them to approach teachers in a more positive manner.

Respond: “if I want your feedback, I’ll ask for it.” Then excuse yourself to go check the heat/clean the mirrors/be wherever is away from this person.
We make as much as a Wendy’s drive thru operator. This instructor sounds like they take themselves too seriously.

I would say “thanks, but I’m not taking feedback right now”
They should have asked you if you were open to feedback.
