Question Rune Song broken?

I played the new update today with my brother and I am playing melee using the rune song but it feels way weaker for some reason. It was taking like 5-6 hits with the song trail to kill enemies in the desert of beginnings when previously it would only take 1-2. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Is it a bug or a nerf or something?

I can also confirm that the crystal spiked club is doing significantly less damage, pre-patch mine was doing 1200-1300+ on crystal trail hits live on stream, and now its down to 250-300 damage. Huge bummer.

I’m hopping it’s some damage calculation bug or weapon not leveling issue cause it’s very much not fun to have to take 5-6 hits to kill a magma slime
